Grand Olympic Hotel has been seen to have been recently refurbished/updated.
The young lady on check in was very helpful and we had very interaction with any other staff but housekeeping was always done.
The only thing letting the hotel down is that the rooms still need attention. Doorframes coming away, decoration in bathroom not great and looks to be suffering with damp also the shower leaks and at one point the handle was loose. However TV was useful to pass the time after walks and before dinner and the room was basic but “did the job”. Unsure if would return here unless it was significantly updated.

Location is great walkable to most attractions, but no access with a car. Rooms were tiny and bed was uncomfortable for me. Breakfast was the same every day and it felt like the food was not fresh, fruits over ripe, salami smelled old and even pastries were not freshly baked but most likely were packaged goods from supermarket.

A really nice hotel in the heart of Rome. Very convenient for trains, buses and even walking throughout the city. The rooms were very comfortable. The breakfast were also very good.

You need to book in advance for this one! We didn’t realise and it had sold out for the next two days, in January!

What you get to see is Excellent! But booking a ticket (which is compulsory) is a complete pain. Advise you find a native Italian speaker who can do it for you on the Borghese`s own website (which is in Italian only). I went through an intermediary, got lots of hassle that the museum did not recognise or booking. So would recommend a visit, but only go through their own Italian language website.

Works of art displayed in a beautiful building. They limit the number of visitors each day so you must book in advance if you want to get in.
