Location was quite a walk to major attractions. Construction noise close by. No a/c so had to have window open. Power went out in room so had to go to desk and get a new card. Bed too firm for our liking. Room was clean.

Excellent room and service! Nice flat screen TV with lots of (english) channels. Located near grocery stores, laundry mat, metro, and reasonably walkable to the main attractions. Definitely recommend!

The room was amazing. The most beautiful and comfortable hotel room you could want. It was affordable and an incredible sleeping experience. I travelled with a friend but this would also be suitable for couples and families. The only negative thing about the hotel room was there were frequent power cuts which lasted a minute or two. I would rate this experience at Acta 7/10. The 3 minus points goes towards the restaurant which had the worst food imaginable. We ordered the traditional Portuguese duck rice, which came smothered in cheese which completely ruined it. We also had the ribs & potatoes, which the ribs were extremely dry. It was quite expensive food for Porto standards to. So my advice is to not eat at the restaurant, it is worth it to venture out!

The staff at the reception desk spent half an hour with us to resolve a booking issue unrelated to this property. They were caring and genuine in their approach to problem solving. We could not be more pleased with their professional attitude.

City break
The hotel itself was very very good indeed. It was within walking distance of Porto centre which was good. Very good staff, very clean and tidy. My only negative was the evening dinner menu. For A 4 star hotel it was very limited and no thought had gone into it. Even the menu was on a clip board. Get a good menu and chef and you would have a fantastic hotel

The staff were very kind and helpful. They provided us with late checkout and some additional grace time which was appreciated. Umbrellas were always available at the front desk when we needed them. The rooms were great, although the beds were a bit soft (mattresses could maybe use an upgrade).

Superbly luxurious for the price
Superb from check in to check out. Arrived late due to flight/train delays, but Andre at reception was happy, cheerful and welcoming (as was Nadia at the bar). Fabulous room. Super modern, spotlessly clean and a cute balcony. Quiet and clean street. Comfy bed, slept so well here. One of the best hotels I've stayed at for the price

It has a kettle to make tea, decent bathroom size with good shower however the bathroom bin is not easy to open. The hair dryer is detachable which is also powerful not like the typical hotel dryer that you need to press the button while drying. Other things I do not like is too much mirror. The bedside has both plug and usb charger which the hotel I stayed in Lisbon don’t have

Check in was smooth but was unhappy about the €20 per day parking fee especially since the area had no access to a close parking garage. The garage was also dangerously cramped and the steep and tight ramp was so steep that the cars tires would slip as we were exiting. The rooms were clean and comfortable but the lack of amenities was not expected considering the cost of the room. Also the rooftop bar was open only to access the area but no bar was active at this time of the year (September 18). Was a disappointment since this added to the hotel’s appeal when booking.

Wonderful physical facility, great rooms, fast laundry service, good breakfast. Bottled water only on arrival but never thereafter, no slippers or bathrobes offered. Dinner menu could have been much better - a bit pathetic, hotel a bit out of the way. Several arrivals at the same time as we arrived were told parking was15 euros per night, we were charged 20 euros per night.

Our third stay
We look forward to return each time. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom is large and bright. We appreciated the numerous options on the breakfast buffet. The supper menu was limited. We hope that improves.

Very nice kind of design hotel, with confortable, cleaned rooms, quiet, and a very friendly staff that solved everything we asked for. Limited parking but we could reserve a spot even though we did it a day before arrival. Breakfast was very good also. Maybe not so close to downtown but the walk is not long and enjoyable.

Beautiful view
Beautiful hotel! Cannot stress this enough. The lobby, dining area and rooms are clean, beautiful, comfortable. They also have a rooftop patio with scenic views of Porto.

Great property with nice amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I wish I was able to stay here a little longer, but I will be back!

One night at the Acta
Very easy check in, lucky to get parking in the on site underground parking despite emailing ahead. Hotel is amazing, staff are great not in the best area of Porto but the burger place next door is incredible. Didn’t have time to check the roof terrace. My partner said the pillows are the best she’s slept on in a hotel.

Beautiful room, comfortable, very clean. Staff helpful in every way. Assisted with sites to see. Nice rooftop deck for a relaxing drink. Only negative is the buffet breakfast -- not worth the price...Dried scrambled eggs that were probably bottled. A great experience, and will book again if we return to Porto.

Stayed May 2021. 10-15 minutes walk from a large selection of restaurants, and 5 minutes walk from a supermarket. Clean and comfortable room with a mini fridge.

Excellent base for exploring Porto
Had a great stay at The Avenue, our room was very clean and comfortable, staff were very helpful when we checked in/out. Location was a little further out but still well connected and easy to walk into the city centre. Excellent value for money base to explore.
