"I had booked a room with a walk-in shower because I use a cane but found the bed in the allotted room was a bit too high for me, as I told the night manager. The very next day, Tom Jennings, the overall manager, on his own arranged an”accessible” room for me with a lower bed as well. I was so very grateful to him. The hotel is undergoing renovations, but the staff and manager made me feel very welcome. I recommend the hotel highly. "

"It is set in beautiful grounds, part of the Nottingham University campus and we found it to be very quiet, almost serene. There is an outdoor sitting area overlooking a lake. It is slightly unusual in comparison to a regular hotel, the layout is obviously geared to meetings and conferences but not an issue. The reception area doubles up as a bar in the evening. "The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was well maintained and very comfortable. Only one issue. The noisy air circulation system which had no controls available. Not conducive to a good nights sleep. This was the only reason the hotel didn't get 5 stars all round."

"I was allocated a room which was really small, noisy from the lifts going up and down for two nights. I went to the front desk with my complain, thanks to CARRIE for changing me to another room which was big, clean, quiet and really beautiful. I even added another night stay because I felt so happy.
