Hockey themed hotel is right on brand for Warroad, Minnesota! Complete with a knee hockey arenaâŠtravel hockey kids (and parents) dream! Beds were comfy and rooms were spacious. 10/10
This is a convenient overnight stay just a 5-minute drive away from a fishing pier in Lake of the Woods. The rooms had everything I expected from a hotel with good dinner and breakfast options.
Loved how clean and maintained the rooms are and the bed is very comfortable. Only downside was we were not able to stay longer! Will definitely recommend to anyone staying in the area!
It is a clean place. We really liked the roof top and the place for eating breakfast. It was convinet to stop before we got up to the Lke of the Woods.
For the price of the stay . The toilet paper could be a better quality at least like the Kleenexâs . Oh yes the stained hand towels . The first one I pulled out .
We wanted to shout out Andrew on his help with checkout this morning! He was able to get us a new key after having some troubles at check in last night. He was also very welcoming and answered all our questions.
The hotel feels clean and looks nice. Our room did have one garbage can that wasn't emptied, which is no big deal, but it does make you wonder what else was potentially not cleaned. The night we were there was really expensive and the other guests were extremely loud, so not really worth the price, unfortunately.
Wehad the unfortunate timing of staying during a hockey tournament in the middle of the week. While I understand middle school boys, having one of my own, it became apparent that the whole floor was unsupervised until the bar closed at 1am. I expect noise in a hotel but not hockey in the hall at midnight. Multiple calls to the front desk only got minutes of respite. Discussion with front desk only revealed a couple things 1. The tournament brings in a lot of money 2. this happens every year and 3. they have no intention of saying anything to the teams or compensating you if had the reasonable expectation of quiet after midnight. We ended up changing hotels. Its a very nice place but nice only goes so far if you cant sleep. Reccommend if you arent there during a tournament.
The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming. The room was large and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfast in the morning and loved the convenient location. Onsite restaurant was great as well. Lots of parking in the hotel.
I had a wonderful stay overall. However, the bed was not very comfortable. It felt like a futon with a small sheet of plywood underneath. The room was clean when we arrived, but the next morning there was water leaking onto the bathroom floor, seemingly from the next-door room. There were no bad smells, which was great. The sheets were fresh. The TV welcomed us, and it was easy to enter and leave the room. This made it convenient for our trip to Canada and back to Minnesota to see the northernmost point. We also learned about the company that helped build the town. In the evening around 6 PM, there was a food truck-like trailer at the grocery store by Caribou, and their pastries were wonderful. The hotel's breakfast was decent and as expected, nothing fancy. When I stay here again, absolutely
