Board a 40-foot premium Chris Craft yacht on the St. John's River in Sanford Florida! This listing has NO CLEANING FEES so you can stay without any hidden charges! Docked at a gated marina that is nestled away in the woods yet still close to downtown, it is the perfect place to get away from it all. With 2 private staterooms each with their own private en-suite bathroom, mid-level galley and spacious salon living space, the yacht is perfect for 4 people to enjoy a weekend away!
In addition to all the inside living spaces, this classic Chris Craft also features a large aft deck, perfect for lounging around and looking over the marina with a 5-o-clock cocktail in hand. Come nightfall, go on up to the fly-deck and cockpit, and gaze at the stars through the eyes of a captain at the wheel. There is a sound system both inside and outside, so feel free to put your relaxing playlist on and kick back and relax!
The marina has a great deli onsite, as well as a poolside bar and restaurant. Guests can use the key card to access the pool, lounge chairs, and the full-size showers and restrooms. Paid washers and dryers are also available for guests here.
All of the vessel is yours throughout your stay! The front bedroom, half bath, galley, dining area, salon, aft cabin, full bath, and outside deck of the boat is exclusively yours. The pool and marina showers and restrooms are shared.

Other things to note
A boat can be a little different than a house on land. Corridors are a little tighter, ceilings in some places can be low, and the onboard shower/bathrooms are smaller than one's on land. This all adds to the fun of living aboard a boat for a while! And keep in mind, there is water surrounding it on all sides and it can rock gently. It is not suitable for anyone who cannot swim, is prone to balance issues, or has any physical limitations that do not allow them to step aboard over water or climb steps. There are many steps both inside the vessel and on the outside to be able to board. Getting large suitcases onboard alone can also be a bit tricky because of this, so we reccomend packing with smaller duffel bags and backpacks. It also has essential systems that can easily be shut down with the flick of some switches, and therefore not a good fit for young children.

Everything you will need to know to make your stay smooth and pleasant will be in the onboard guest manual! The marina office and store do not manage this vessel and will not be able to help with any questions, so please contact the host with any questions or concerns you may have.

Our stay on this boat was delightful! It is moored at a small marina west of Lake Monroe with everything you need, just bring your clothes and food. It was a little tricky climbing the ladder to board, so those without good balance may find it difficult, but the 3 of us who are in our 60’s, 70’s & 80’s found it adventurous. Although there were 2 bathrooms, 1 with a shower similar to what you find in a small camper, we chose to use the facility provided at the marina instead as it was just a short walk. There is a store, bar and huge pool attached to a restaurant which was being refurbished, but we didn’t use any of them. We came with our bikes and were able to easily access bike trails which leads to downtown Sanford, and continues around Lake Monroe through wooded trails leading to several beautiful springs for a total of 27 miles. A great experience topped off by staying on this boat!

Winter getaway

I am an experienced boater and wanted a relaxing getaway for New Year's. The boat is as described. Mario and his dad met me there and helped me get my supplies on board. They even powerwashed. There was a cold streak so I needed the heaters. They worked great and I was as comfortable as in a hotel. The wifi allowed me to make videos for my social media. The beds are luxurious for a boat with everything clean, no musty boat smell. The bathrooms and shower worked great too. The galley had everything I needed to stick to my special diet. The deli and the marina was friendly and fun. I am sure once the restaurant and pool are fixed from the hurricane damage it will be a blast in the summer. I felt very safe alone as the docks were well lit and locked. I would definitely rent the boat again.

Nice something different

Overall 5 ⭐ Owner was great. Boat was 40+ years old, refurbished. Only recommendation would be to have it docked in a better marina. Only view was of the Sanford Power Plant or the older man who permanently lives in the boat in the next slip over. The marina appeared to have quite a few vagabond or displaced people permanently living on their boats. If it was in the Downtown Sanford Marina it would be a better experience.

Fun place to stay

The houseboat was just as described. Cute, cozy and perfect for what I needed. I checked in at night and it was suuuuper dark, so bring a flashlight. The owner was great!

Fun weekend with our boys!

We had a great time spending the weekend on this "floating hotel." Our 11-year-old boys had a blast exploring the boat and marina. Marco was easy to contact and gave us detailed instructions on how to get onboard. The marina is more adult in the afternoons and evenings, so we stayed busy in town and on the boat. Our son hugged us and thanked us for such a special visit when we left.
