Elegant lines, expansive windows, French doors and generous light define this beautiful home in the ideal location in the Covenant in Rancho Santa Fe. Private gates to a 2 acre estate. A peaceful, quiet and private. You will never want to leave.
The main residence offers sun-filled entertainment areas with an easy flowing open floor plan.
The generous formal living room with stunning hardwood floors is just off the grand entry and adjacent to the large open dining room, a perfect venue for entertaining larger family or just for a quiet intimate dinner,
The gourmet chef's kitchen, with over sized butlers pantry, cooking station, casual sitting bar and sunny breakfast area flows into the family room - all built out with a entertainment wall and fireplace.
The first floor master suite i luxurious and large with sitting area, fire place and French doors leading to a private covered loggia. The sumptuous master bath is flanked in tone with dual dressing rooms. There is a game room with a pool table and a full service bar.
Upstairs offers an oversized center bonus room with sofas and an oversized TV. French doors leading out to a covered veranda. 3 well-appointed en suite bedrooms all with stone detailed baths and walk in closets.
Guests can enjoy the private, self-contained casita with a queen bed, full bath and can be used as a fitness facility.
For your outside entertainment and relaxation, there is an outdoor kitchen, sun-lite swimmers pool with spa, dual fire pits and fragrant rose gardens.
Additional features include:covered outdoor living/dining room, solar for the pool, completely fenced, expansive gras area, garaging for 4 cars.
Impeccably maintained and with new furniture in all rooms.
There is no camera at the gate. The line from the gate is connected to the hard wired phone in the office. For your extra safety there is a "Ring" door bell with camera outside the entrance door with only the one owners access.
The property is located within walking distance to the Rancho Santa Fe trail system and Golf course and close to the Rancho Santa Fe village with great restaurants.

Stayed here with family during the week while our brother received some medical treatments. It is a gorgeous home which felt calm and peaceful to return home to every day. Gorgeous Hillside Property

I rented this house for a special family gathering and chose it based on the description and photos in the VRBO listing. When we arrived, it was clear that the listing did not do the property justice. It is extremely beautiful, very spacious, luxurious (but in a comfortable way) and peaceful. The owners were very helpful, check in was easy and the property manager was attentive and helpful as well. We could not have asked for a better experience at double the price. We are a large family who wanted a place to gather and relax for Christmas, this house could not have been more perfect! Elise and Lars had it beautifully decorated for Christmas, the home is spacious and well appointed, the grounds are absolutely beautiful, and the southern exposure filled the house with beautiful San Diego sunshine all day long. And the location in the Ranch is perfect, we walked the golf course trails every day! You can rent this home with the confidence that your group or family will have the best week ever, guaranteed.

This is a beautiful home. The furnishings and style are nice. The negative comments are meant as constructive. The entry gate is very inconvenient. Upon opening the gate to leave I had to literally leave the car running after the gate, run to the home to open and leave the gate opener and fin back to my running car. The home needs updates and would benefit from a makeover. Communication with the owners were not easy as they live in Europe as well. Last, we left several items in the home which were not returned to us even after emailing the owners. Making these issues easier woukd go a long way.

Where to begin. A wonderful home. Loved everything about it. The pool was great for me, I swim laps and this pool was long enough to do it. We were supposed to be a party of 9 or 10 but 1/2 of them caught Covid and had to stay home. thought it was going to be a bummer, but the property is so wonderful that missing them was not that bad! this house has EVERYTHING that you could possible need. So very thoughtful ! Will stay again next year...hopefully with the whole family!

FANTASTIC PROPERTY

My extended family and I had a WONDERFUL vacation at this FABULOUS house. We were a group of six adults and six children ranging in age from 5 to 12. The property has a great location and the amenities were unsurpassed. We have been using VRBO for over 10 years and this has to be the best property that we have used. The location is near Del Mar beach which had adequate parking and restroom facilities for our gang. Beach chairs and boogie boards are provided. The house is spacious, clean, well maintained, and well stocked with just about any appliance you could need. The host even provided half and half cream and biscuits for our morning coffee The grandkids especially enjoyed playing in the swimming pool and hot tub and the adults enjoyed the outdoor bar while on “lifeguard” duty! With the outdoor rose garden, the property is gorgeous! We were especially pleased with the responsiveness of the property manager. Every question was addressed quickly and in a professional manner. If we ever return to the San Diego area this is where we would want to stay. This is a 5 star property in every respect!

Fantastic Christmas stay at our own private retreat in Rancho Santa Fe

This beautiful home is truly one of our best private rentals ever and was a perfect retreat for our family over the holiday break. The interior has a spacious layout and is very well appointed with a comfortable, welcoming feel. It was great to be able to have multiple areas to visit with friends and family across the kitchen/family room, dining room, gorgeous formal living room and bar/billiards room. The additional family room on the second floor was also great for the kids. Overall, the bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious with comfortable bedding and towels. A highlight was the incredible master bedroom suite with sitting area and fireplace. The home office and separate guest cottage also worked great for spreading out when duty called for the infrequent zoom calls during the break. Lastly, the back patio, fire pits and and pool/hot tub provided plenty of entertainment outside both day and night during the mild San Diego winter weather. We hope to be able to stay here again during a future visit!

Perfect Luxury Getaway big enough for The whole family

This house was so well equipped with EVERYTHING you will need. Check in and out are easy. We inquired about a rice cooker in the kitchen and there was one at the front door within the hour. The pool is heaven and location is amazing with so many towns and attractions within 30 minutes away. This home was worth every penny we spent on it. A big thanks to Elise and Lars from our whole family for making their home available for us to rent.

Hard to believe, but this place is better and bigger than the photos. It worked great for 9 adults and 5 kids for our post-covid family reunion. Very private, quiet - tons of space. And very responsive owners and property manager. There was a blip with the Peloton on our second say and it was fixed the same morning. Would definitely stay there again.

Would not hesitate to book here again. It is in a beautiful area and the house was lovely. If I were to change anything it would be to have a bed included in one of the ensuites that was designated for an office space with just a desk on the ground floor. However, that would not deter me from renting again just would be an added bonus. Thanks again, for having us.

Simply wonderful

We’ve stayed in several VRBOs and this is by far the best one yet. The only bad thing was we had to leave! The house is spacious and beautifully decorated. The owners have exquisite taste. The pictures don’t even do it justice. The house had everything we needed from electronics to kitchenware to sporting equipment. Everyone had plenty of personal space as well as space to be together, both indoors and out. It was also great to have the full separate casita with a desk for work and a Peloton bike for workouts. Watching sunsets from the hot tub was one of many highlights from our trip. The owners provided all the details and instructions we needed and were extremely accessible but there was nothing we had to reach out to them for. Everything was perfect! If you’ve landed on this page and are considering booking this property, DO IT! You will be so happy there.
