We enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It is clean and has everything you need. And the terrace is so inviting to watch life in Lanzarote. Ana is an amazing host. She is attentive and she really loves Lanzarote.Muchas gracias Ana!
The host Ana met us at the airport, she was extremely welcoming and helpful. The apartment was very spacious with everything you need with an amazing view over El Charco. Restaurants, bars and shops are all nearby.
We had a nice relaxing stay, but would have been nice to have a fan in the bedroom because the window opened on the back street which was sometimes noisy. Other than that absolutely superb and Ana was so accommodating.
First off, Ana is a very friendly and accommodating host. She even let me practice my Spanish on her in our communications. Muchas gracias Ana.
The apartment is very spacious in every respect, and as everyone comments the balcony has a fabulous view. What we didn't expect was the peaceful evenings. Yes, it's right above the restaurants, but once you get to the bedroom at the rear you really don't notice them. And it is so much cooler back there as well. That was an unexpected bonus!
Obviously, you are very close to many restaurants, so eating out is no problem.
It's only a 10 minute walk to the Estacion de Guaguas, and from there you can get a bus to practically anywhere on the island that buses travel to (some hot tourist spots are suspiciously not served by public transport, e.g. Mirador del Rio).
It's also a 10 minute walk to Playa del Reducto if you want to enjoy a sandy beach.
There is a good supermarket (HiperDino) a few minutes walk away, but if you walk a little further (you guessed it, 10 minutes) you get all the choice you want at the HiperDino in the new mall near the Estacion de Guaguas.
If you enjoy a walk, then you can walk all the way to Costa Teguise without using roads. Or you can hire a bike and cycle along a path in the opposite direction to Puerta del Carmen.
I had breakfast on the balcony every morning and watched Charco de San Gines come to life. Loved it.
We would certainly return, and in fact hope to do so.
Traumhafte Lage, trotz vieler Restaurants in der NĂ€he angenehm ruhig (Kreuzfahrer sind abends weg). Alles schnell erreichbar. Bestens ausgestattet und Gastgeberin Ana sehr nett.
Beste Lage fĂŒr eine Stadtwohnung in Arrecife. Sehr netter und problemloser Empfang durch unsere Gastgeberin Ana. Man wohnt hier sehr zentral.
The owner, Ana, is local and very helpful with service like linen change. The unit is situated in the best part of Arrecife, great balcony views day and evening, close to so many great restaurants. The apartment is quite spacious and very clean, well equipped as well. Beds were comfortable, nice bathroom shower. A grocery store is walking distance away and very well stocked. We stayed 3 weeks in Lanzarote, might be a bit long, two weeks would be plenty, but we visited everywhere. A car rental is advised, and the property has a garage. One small negative would be the house to the left has two dogs that occasionally bark, not something our owner can control, we were aware of it from previous reviews.. But that doesn't prevent us from highly recommending this apartment because of all the positives.
If like us, you want a perfect balcony to chill out, watch the world go by that has a lovely view then this is the place for you.
Ana is the perfect host. Great communications before & during our stay to make sure we had the perfect holiday.
The apartment is as described. Very well presented, & equipped, is clean & has all the facilities needed.
Tip: the apartment does not have a safe, but valuables can be sored in the lockable utility cupboard.
We did not use it a lot, but the added bonus is that the satellite tv has the main UK channels for visitors wanting these. I have never encountered this before in a Spanish rental apartment.
There is no signage or door numbering to indicate the precise location on arrival , but Ana is only a phone call / WhatsApp away to assist in finding it.
The apartment is situated in the heart of numerous restaurants, bars & cafe's. Despite this we did suffer any intrusive noise from them.
All in all a great stay & a perfect host.
Absolutely brilliant house, a true home from home. The beds were so comfortable. Our favourite part was sitting on the balcony to watch the world go by and the different views by day and night, Its become a special place to us.
The area was good for exploring, and the local buses to Puerto del Carmen and Costa Teguise were very easy to use.
Ana was the perfect host so friendly, helpful and approachable, in fact on our last day when we couldn't get a taxi to the Airport Ana took us which was so kind of her.
We would definitely go back.

A very clean & well Equipped apartment with just about everything you need for a relaxing holiday.
Ana is a charming Hostess and always ready with advice and help if needed.
A central location, great for exploring the island, and peaceful & tranquill at night with plenty of local bars and restaurants close at hand.
All in all, a wonderful holiday.
Originally booked Casa del Charco for 7 nights but only stayed for 5....spent two nights in Costa Teguise, which I will say why shortly in my review.
The house is as described and is really nice and homely. Everything you need is there. The only thing we did miss was a full length mirror which would have been nice, and for whatever reason we couldnt work out, non of the sinks in the house had plugs, which made it difficult to wash and was also a waste of water...
The veranda's were the main attraction for us and the view from them is great. Just be aware there is noise from the bars/cafes below, especially on Friday/Sat night when it was really busy. By 12:30am it soon all finishes and is quiet....never bothered us with sleeping at all.
The only other noise, which we did find a tad annoying, was from 2 barking dogs which seemed to live on the roof on the building next door. They were out 24/7 and at times were barking at us on the balcony and at one of the neighbours who was antagonising them making it worse....we did have breakfast on the verandah one morning and had to go out earlier than we planned as the barking was just to much....just being totally honest, wouldnt put me off staying but not what we came away for having to listen to dogs barking sometimes.
We booked for 7 nights and as previously stated stayed for only 5. This was no reflection on Ana's place, it was down to Arrecife itself. We just didn't gel with the place at all. Just another town which away from the bars/ cafes below didnt really do much for us, and 5 days was enough for us to see it all. Visited Lanzarote many times and sadly city life was not for us.
There is a great little supermarket behind the cinema building which we used to get breakfast stuff. Loads of Tapas places to eat in and restaurants to. Great beach about 15min walk down the promenade, which to our surprise was virtually empty.
We had our last 2 nights in Costa Teguise which was poles apart from Arrecife, but had a great time there.
To sum up, the house is brilliant, and Ana was a great host, but Arrecife itself was not for us.

The property is in a great location for exploring the island.
Ana has equipped the property extremely well with just about everything you may need for your stay, she also kept in touch to make sure all was o.k. and was very helpfull.
Spoilt for choice for local bars and restaurants, all within easy walking distance, and great to see some local musicians playing and enjoying themselves.
All in all a five star holiday experience.
We loved the views from this property. At night it was a magical sight.
The location is great. Having visited and toured Lanarote before it was a change to enjoy town life. Appreciated all the restaurants that are so near. The apartment is spacious with a two large terraces to enjoy that view. Ana is a charming host.
This is a truly wonderful apartment, it's huge!! with sunshine all day long and wonderful views over the lagoon and out to sea. Ana has made sure there is everything you could possibly need for a holiday stay, she is caring and lovely and will do anything to make sure you are happy during your stay.
There is so much choice for easting out just by stepping outside the apartment and at the lovely Marina just 5 minutes walk away.
If you have a car the garage is so useful...and then explore the island, it's wonderful. This year we found Punta Mujeres, so different from the usual holiday spots that are very crowded, what a pretty place.
All in all we have had a very memorable holiday, a big thank you to Ana, you really should be very proud of what you have achieved at Casa del Charco. Can't wait to return.

The views from the apartment are outstanding! The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is situated centrally so amenities are nearby. The atmosphere around the lagoons tapas bars and restaurants is friendly. Ana is so helpful and quick to respond if needed.
This property has been described as fantastic in numerous reviews and we cannot disagree with any of them. The location is probably the best on the island, overlooking the lagoon and out of the wind. You couldn't be closer to the restaurants and tapas bars, the ones we used were excellent and very reasonably priced.
Ana is a wonderful host and always on hand if need be. The use of the garage is a real plus even if you sometimes hold up the traffic getting in and out.
Thoroughly recommend.

The apartment is lovely and exceeded my expectations , spotlessly clean , very comfy beds and a very well equipped kitchen with everything you need to self cater and everything was of a high quality. Excellent WiFi and English TV if you can tear yourself away from sitting on one of the two large front terraces enjoying the spectacular views or just people watching . Plenty of space for a family or group of friends.
The apartment is in an area with lots of lovely restaurants that cater for all tastes from Tapas or Italian ( my favourite ) to an Indian , but if you want there is also a very well stocked supermarket just 2 mins walk away . There can be background noise at night from the restaurants as they stay open late but this didn't disturb a good nights sleep .
This was my first visit to Lanzerote and I liked the area of Arrecife very much. Plenty of areas to explore, many shops and a lovely safe beach about a 10 min walk. You can catch a bus to the more well known tourist areas of Costa Teguise , Playa Blanca etc from the bus stops just past the beach and fares are very cheap.
Ana the host is a lovely lady , very helpful and lives close by if needed and she very kindly gave me lift to the Airport for my journey home.
Communication before and after booking was very good .
I would definitely recommend this apartment and will look to return with friends and family.
We are a family of 4 (13 & 15 year olds) and had the best time.
Arricife feels very authentic. Not many tourists but is a nice place to wander around and enjoy. The apartment is in a particularly nice part of Arrecife, with nice bars/restaurants around the charco (i.e. the bay you see in the photos). Other shops, including a supermarket are a [very] short walk away (check out the fish counter in the Hyper-Dino).
The apartment it's self exceeded my expectations. All the practical stuff is there (and very nice) - fully equipped kitchen (including a coffee machine), nice bathrooms, washing machine, BBQ on one of the terraces, TV (not that we used it) and wifi (the kids used this a lot). But the best bit is that you are sitting in the popular (with locals) area, on a terrace, with sunshine and a glass of wine (check out the Lanzarote wines), soaking up the atmosphere. You can pop downstairs to eat, or cook/BBQ and eat on the front terrace.
The views from the terraces are really as good as the pictures show, but the pictures can not define the atmosphere.
Lanzarote is a really interesting place too. We hired a car (garage space included with the apartment) and enjoyed exploring the different beaches (there some really nice ones away from the 3 main tourist resorts - get the ferry across to La Graciousa and spend the day there) and other sites. Considering the island is so small, it has a lot to offer and to see beyond the beaches/food/wine. The lava fields are mad! Casar Manrique is a fascinating man and I will continue to learn about him. I really was surprised at how lovely "Lanzagrotty" is, but I don't think I would have discovered how wonderful without staying in this apartment. It really was the perfect base to gain an understanding of this wonderful island.
The apartment felt like a home, rather than a holiday home (if you see what I mean). It was comfortable to be in, with everything you could need or want. Ana (the land lady) was lovely, without being intrusive... The only down side was that I kept on bumping into the glass table in the living room (and now have a big bruise), but I think that was more my fault really. :)
I really can't say enough about this place... book it! But not on the dates when we want to go back! :)
Was the better holidays in our lifeâs!!! The childrenâs enjoy a lot in the house... it is possible to sleep really well, because the house is really bigger than we could imagine.... perfect!!! holidays perfect!!!
I will say that!!!! Thank you for everything!!!! Was great ... amazing !!!
