Good stay - some "nice to know" things missing
Nice, rustic property in the woods. Quiet and feels secluded. Plenty of deer, birds and fish in the marsh. Good location, 5 minute walk to Harbor Town in one direction, and 5 minutes to a nature trail in the other. A cottage feel, so if you're seeking luxury this is not your place. The only beach in walking distance we found is Sunset Beach in Harbor Town; you wouldn't spend the day on it. Things we wished Vacasa shared..don't bring your e-bikes, they're not allowed in Sea Pines (security let us know the hard way). Also, no mention of the amenities available to us, or how to access once on property. Also, don't forget your binoculars to view all the great wildlife!

Treehouse Escape
We come to HHI each year as a family and we were busy this summer so snuck in a quick Sept weekend (which is the best time of year at the coast anyway). Pros - the VIEWS, outdoor space, and location. Very short walk to cute Harbour Town and so relaxing The indoor space is small but unique and well apportioned. There was a nice little welcome bag I assume from the property managers, with snacks and water. A really great book selection, cute decor, beach toys and chairs, and the laundry were all nice extras. The house was spotless when we arrived and there was an abunance of towels, blankets, soap etc. Someone mentioned the open spiral staircase and we had a toddler with us but we just blocked it off. There IS a baby gate in the laundry room although it would be more of a causal deterrent with the iron railing and posts of the staircase. Two small suggestions of things we missed. One was a little booklet that has info for check in/check out and suggestions for what to do. We come to HHI a lot so we weren’t worried about what to do as much as we wanted to make sure we hit the check out list (what to do w linens, etc). We just used common sense and left a clean house but sometimes hosts are picky. This was v minor. The other one was that the plates and bowls aren’t microwave safe. We understand they’re durable but a few microwave safe kitchen items might be really useful! Otherwise a splendid and unique stay. Would return!

Stay was just what we thought it would be. Excellent location to Harbor Town and surrounding bike paths. Riding to the beach is 15-20 minutes, though it is a easy enough route. Great view!

We absolutely loved this property. Quaint and secluded, it was super nice. The owners have kept it up well. We enjoyed being in Sea Pines and bike riding to most locations.

Great location, adorable place
Very private lot, cute “tree house,” small but comfortable enough for me and my husband. Does seem a bit dated (kitchen and bathrooms could use an upgrade). Having a washer and dryer was a huge plus. The large windows were great for viewing the marsh. The best part was sitting on the deck enjoying the wildlife and breezes. Egrets, anhinga, cranes, deer, hawks, all number of birds, raccoons, lizards, little marsh crabs. We did have one issue. Roaches. The baffling part is we didnt leave any doors open, we didn’t cook any meals at the home, promptly cleaned up when we did eat snacks, and emptied our garbage regularly and still saw three roaches (and two different kinds, no less). One found its way inside a bag of clothes we had packed for the beach, and one two separate occasions, one was spotted in the kitchen by the refrigerator. I understand they’re a common sight down here and we’re in a marshy, damp area but it’s still a little off putting to see them inside rental home, especially considering this was not a cheap rental. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and if the roaches hadn’t made an appearance, it would have been a 5 star experience.

Cozy tree house
This was such a cozy quiet place to stay at. Even though we were only a 5 minute walk from Harbour Town we were still out to ourselves. Everytime was decorated so perfectly! We really enjoyed sitting out on the upoer deck and watching the deer walk all around the tree house. We would love to stay here again in the future.

The property is very nice, perfect for a quiet respite. Lovely view of the marsh, especially gorgeous at sunrise and sunset. I love how private it is. I plan on staying in a Sealoft property again.

Great Property!
We had great week. The property is very clean, cute and in a great location. We rented bikes but often just walked to Harbor Town. The amenities listed said pool so we assumed we had a pass to use one of the pools in sea pines, but it doesn't include that. Wasn't a big deal for our trip though.

For the nature-lover!
If you really want to experience nature, this is your place! The place is nestled among the trees lining the marsh, supporting all the wildlife within these ecosystems. It is a short walk or bike ride to the town center and its nightlife, while being an easy and peaceful retreat back to the quiet upon return. The bathrooms are a little small and tight, but serve their function well. Overall, the place is clean and well-stocked in a really unique setting.

Great rental with lovely views of the marsh and local wildlife. Easy walk to Harbour Town park, shops and restaurants. Although a small sized rental, it was full of amenities and furnished well. I would definitely rent again.

Perfect location in nature and close to Harbor Town
Our family of four enjoyed this "treehouse" very much. We loved the setting and location on the marsh. The owner has decorated the home with a nautical and artsy theme which was lovely. They have thought of everything to make it easy and comfortable to enjoy this compact home. We look forward to coming back. The mgmt company was easy to work with.

Upon arrival, there was trash scattered around the trash bin area as it appeared a critter had gotten in the trash. There was a large stain on the master bedroom carpet. One frustration was the home on VRBO advertises sleeping 6. (The house has a pull out sofa). We booked the house based on being able to sleep six as we had three children and grandmother along with us. We discovered at bedtime, that there were no sheets or pillows for the pullout sofa that is being advertised as the 5th and 6th person sleeping arrangements. We called Vacasa Property Management phone line (which advertise to be available for issues 24/7) at 9pm letting them know the situation and that we need sheets and pillows, along with additional towels, brought to us that evening. The person on the other line said that it will be taken care of. 45 minutes goes by and we had not heard anything. We call the phone line to follow up, and end up on an over an hour debacle, having to call multiple times talking to different people all of whom say they are working on getting the sheets and pillows but were never able to confirm a time. During this time, my two children who are supposed to be sleeping on this bed, end up exhaustedly falling asleep on the mattress. No one ever showed up that night so they ended up sleeping on a mattress, with no sheets and no pillows throughout the entire night. In fact, no one brought sheets until close to noon the next day and pillows were not left until later in the afternoon. This does not seem like prompt 24/7 service as advertised. In addition, we were alarmed and dismayed by the stair case situation in the home. It was a significant safety concern that needs to be addressed immediately. The general manager also acknowledged this was a problem but did not realize this concern until I mention it to him. Not only is the string running around the spiral staircase not adequate to prevent someone from falling down to the lower level, there is also a large opening, where a child or dog could easily fall straight down to the lower level. I am perplexed as to why this type of design was allowed and considered acceptable. Another very frustrating situation was the poorly functioning HVAC system in the house. There was no happy medium between temperatures it was either extremely cold or so hot we were sweating making our stay extremely uncomfortable.
