Fully remodeled 50 by 14 mobile home with 700 of living space. 300 square foot of deck. Front deck with 4 person hot tub and has privacy fencing around deck. Two bedrooms with queen size beds. One bathroom with shower. Full efficiency kitchen with basic cooking utensils and tableware for 8. Washer and dryer. 55" TV, wifi and satellite TV . Pet friendly with a maximum of two pets with a $50 pet fee. PLEASE be sure to check the box for pets. Approximately 3 minutes from Old Cave State Park and John Glenn Observatory. Large fire pit. The price is for 2 persons. The cottage will sleep up to 4 persons. Fire wood is NOT supplied.

Musty and mildew
The exterior lighting at night is dim at best. Upon entering was overwhelmed by a musty smell. This unit has a moisture problem. The vents had liquid pooling on them and the washing machine was unusable due to mildew growing. I tried wiping it up but decided not to use it. The microwave was not clean and there was something sticky on the oven handle. Since the unit smelled so strongly and the weather was good I had hoped to eat outside at the deck table but the chairs were caked in mildew. I found all of this unacceptable.When I contacted the owner he was disrespectful and basically said I couldn't prove it because I didn't take pictures! I did take pictures.

30th Wedding Anniversary
Good location, clean, comfortable beds! Hot tub and tv outside were a nice touch! On the downside bed pillows need a serious upgrade, would have been nice to have a few more wash cloths for a 3 night stay. Don’t mind reusing towels but not wash cloths. Also felt like we had to limit our use of toilet paper. I’m sure the host would have been happy to supply more if we’d have asked but I feel like we shouldn’t have to. Also I didn’t feel it was appropriate to ask us to leave the cleaning lady a tip. I feel the price we paid for our stay should have more than compensated for her fee. I hate sounding like a Karen just wanted to leave some helpful tips for future guests.

Still awesome!
This group has made an awesome cabin here! The place is immaculately kept, dishes and cooking gear are available in the kitchen with a propane tank on the grill. We love that we can let our pup loose on the deck without having to worry about her getting off of it unattended. The hot tub has been hot, clean and ready to go both times we have stayed here. They added a TV to the deck since the last time we were here and that made our stay even better. The beds are comfortable, the common spaces are in great condition with comfortable furniture, and the bathroom is small but well appointed. Thank you for an amazing stay, again!

Cozy Cottage in Hocking Hills
We had a great stay at the Dixieland cottage. It was extremely clean and as advertised. We loved using the hot tub and fire pit. We also really appreciate that we were able to bring our dog and that he could hang out on the fenced-in porch with us. The proximity to the main Hocking Hills trails couldn't be better. Every trail was 10-15 minutes from us. If you are going to cook, the kitchen has the basic cooking utensils needed. Just be sure to bring all necessary ingredients (such as cooking oil/Pam, condiments, spices other than salt/pepper). Also bring Tupperware if you want to eat leftovers. If you forget anything, there is a convenience store called Grandma Faye's about 3 miles down the road that has the basics. We had such a great time and would definitely rebook in the future!

Great stay!
We had quite the trip. Had a little mishap that was no fault of anyone’s and the owners were absolutely AMAZING! We came to attend a wedding and this was the perfect spot to stay in. Close to where we needed to be and affordable. Everything was just as described if not better. We will definitely be back! Thank you again Dave and Mike, you have a great place on your hands!!

Great location. We enjoyed our stay at Dixieland and besides the funky smell (which is probably to be expected at a cottage) is was clean and well-kept. Nice hot tub and everything worked fine. :)

Great Weekend!
Clean, well kept. Simple features, but everything we needed. Hot Tub was nice! Enclosed deck was great for the dogs and the TV outside was a great extra! Gas grill worked with no problems Remote location, so there's no place for long dog walks.

It was a place to stay
We stayed for 4 nights here. It’s very close to old man’s cave and all that so great for hiking. On the other hand, quite a few not so good things which is the only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars. There was only 1 extra paper towel roll, the other was half gone already. And only 1 extra trash bag. We had to use grocery bags for trash bags for the last 2 days. Not to mention the nearest Walmart is in Logan almost a half hour away so it’s a pain to have to drive there and back. So if you plan on staying here for more than a day or two, I would bring extra EVERYTHING. Also the dryer quit working on us too, so I hoped they atleast fixed it for the next person. One more thing, the Satellite TV has really bad signal, so you’ll probably have to stream TV or bring games. This is not meant to be a bad review, just being honest and upfront. Other than all of that, the place was very clean and the gas grill and hot tub were a nice addition and the owner was responsive to any questions we had.

Clean, Cozy, and Comfortable
We had a great time at the cottage. It was clean, well-maintained, and felt like a true vacation getaway. The space was well planned. The furniture and beds were comfortable. The location can’t be beat with access to the Hocking Hills must sees and we had a nice drive into Athens which wasn’t bad at all. Dave was great to communicate with and responded very quickly to any questions or concerns we had.
