Beautiful Lakefront Cottage!

Hancock, MI

It's a cozy, two-bedroom lakefront home with a wide front porch. Enjoy swimming in the refreshing lake, or simply sit on the front porch with a cup of coffee and watch the sunset!

The home is completely furnished, linens and kitchen utensils provided. There is great WiFi however the cellular service is spotty. There is a landline phone available for use.

It is located five miles from town, where there are numerous restaurants, shops, a ski hill, snowmobile and ATV rentals, and much more!

Within a mile of the home, there are beautiful cross-country, biking and hiking trails. Get away from your everday life and enjoy the peace and quiet of this area.

Northern Lights!
The cabin was as advertised - clean, in a peaceful area north of Hancock but convenient to everything in the Keweenaw. The highlight was seeing a spectacular light show off the dock - we had a great view of the Northern Lights on our first day! Check-in was very easy. Everything we needed for our stay was provided.

Wonderful vacation home
We loved our stay at this cottage. It was clean and very well appointed. We felt it had everything we needed. It was an extra treat to have cinnamon rolls waiting for us on the counter when we arrived. It was the perfect get away location for our trip. My husband and father in law are MTU alumni and we had fun seeing all of their old stomping grounds. We would definitely stay here again.

Easy to check in/out. Cabin is simple and welcoming, with all the necessities and comforts. We only stayed one night, but would have been comfortable there for many more days. Enjoyed sitting on the porch and swimming from the dock.

It is a cute cottage right on the Canal, close to McLain State Park, clean, and well equipped. It met all our needs while we stayed for 4 nights to drop our daughter off at MTU. Beautiful waterfront property and very relaxing.

Peaceful Getaway
Perfect cozy cabin on the Portage waterway outside of Hancock. It was clean, well equipped, and was thoughtfully decorated. Erica had nice touches such as a bountiful coffee selection and a few snacks / breakfast bars. The exterior is well lit. The parking space was perfect for our single vehicle. It would be very tight with two vehicles. The cabin is quite private. Foliage on both sides provides separation from the neighbors. Overall a great experience, I would recommend.

Family biking adventure
We had a fantastic stay at the cottage. Great way to connect with family as well as a jump off spot for biking, hiking, and swimming. Close to town and restaurants. Cottage was clean and well appointed and the sunsets were amazing.

This cabin is perfectly located for exploring the entire Keweenaw Peninsula. It had everything we could have possibly needed, was very comfortable, and was a wonderful place for relaxing in between adventures. The views of the lake and the sunsets were spectacular. Had a great time at the cottage. The place was clean and had the essentials to feel at home - grill, firepit, kitchen tools. We really enjoyed taking our boat out, caught some fish, and soaked up some sun. Will strongly consider staying here again for our next trip to yooperland!

Beautiful view and location
My wife and I visited Houghton to see our son who is a senior at MTU. The location of the cabin is very convenient. It was very cozy with a great view of the water and we enjoyed the fire pit and sunsets. We will definitely stay again.
