This one bedroom unit has been fully renovated and luxuriously upgraded. It sleeps up to four people and is located on the mountain, about half a mile south of Purgatory Resort, nestled in a mature aspen grove at an elevation of almost 8800 feet. It is only a two-minute drive to resort base area. It is the perfect location for an active get-away, a relaxing break or a romantic escape. The condo features breathtaking views of the San Juan Mountains from the living room, dining room, bedroom and deck.
The living room is inviting and decorated in an updated “Colorado Mountain Style” … overstuffed seating, earthy colors, with natural wood and stone elements. The 10-foot wide glass door wall opens to a private deck with a seating area to enjoy the fresh mountain air and amazing views. Deer and elk sometimes graze within a few dozen feet of the deck. Hummingbirds provide summertime entertainment as they buzz around enjoying the wildflowers.
The interior dining area features seating for four at a bar-height lodge-style table. There are also outdoor picnic tables in the meadow that can be used during the warmer months.
We often receive compliments from our guests regarding the impressive chef-inspired kitchen. From the new quality appliances, hickory cabinets and quartz counter tops to the professional quality Italian-made pots and pans, new dishes, utensils and inventory of small appliances, you’ll be all set to create a gourmet meal. If cooking on vacation is not your thing, no worries, as there are several restaurants nearby.
You’ll appreciate the fully renovated bathroom with double vanity and featuring Kohler fixtures. Hair dryer, quality linens, guest robes and spa amenities (shampoo, soaps, lotion, sunscreen, etc.) are all included. The bathroom has been upgraded to a 'spa room' featuring a river rock theme and overhead rainfall shower. The renovation includes custom tile, new cabinetry, high dual vanities and a Kohler HydroRail shower system.
After a day on the mountain or enjoying the great outdoors, relax in front of the wood-burning stone fireplace or soak in the hot tub. The cozy sofa will invite you to unwind in front of the 46-inch HD flat screen TV (note that effective autumn of 2024 the TVs will be converts to Roku and satellite access will be discontinued). There is also an extensive DVD library with new release and classic movies, a retro Sony PlayStation with assorted video games and a selection of books, magazines and 'old school' board games for your enjoyment.
When it is finally time to sleep, retire to the ultra-comfortable king-sized bed with top quality bedding and linens. Doze off watching the HD flat screen TV. Bringing friends or family? There is also a queen-sized pull-out bed in the living room with a brand new top-of-the-line memory foam mattress.
Taking a working vacation or just need to check your e-mail? The condo is equipped with free wi-fi. Our wi-fi is secured to this unit only, not shared with other units. Note that while wi-fi is usually quite reliable for working and basic streaming, the condo is located in the mountains and wi-fi speed and access can sometimes been impacted.
The unit is PET/ANIMAL FREE (pets are not permitted due to an owner medical condition).
