Unimpressed with the building. Room wasn’t bad but nothing to rave about. Breakfast was not good at all. Very disappointed. Would not really recommend it.

HAVE USED THIS HOTEL BEFORE SO GLAD TO RETURN.
THIS VISIT LEFT ME DISSATISFIED.
OUR ROOM [5] WAS ABOVE A ROOM WHICH WAS USED FOR
1. A DANCE SESSION FOR 1 HOUR ON WED NIGHT FROM 2000 TO 2100. THE NOISE WAS
HORRENDOUS.....THE BASS NOTES RESONATED ON MY RIB CAGE.
2. A CHOIR REHEARSAL ON THURS NIGHT FROM 2030 TO 2200. (I now know the words of
"Waterloo" off by heart)
3. NO CHEF ON FRI MORNING......COOKED BREAKFAST WAS AVAILABLE IN A CAFE ALONG THE ROAD!

Lovely location in the centre of town, beautiful park with cycle path and walkway. 10 mins walk from the shore. Staff extremely helpful and friendly, no lift which is difficult if you are not fit. Food was good, they were able to fully accommodate my Gluten and Dairy free diet. Beds very comfortable excellent choice of breakfast. Would recommend.

Good hotel in a lovely location

Voordelen: Staff friendly,good food at a reasonable price,lovely location.
Nadelen: The room showers could be better and maybe play some background music in the morning at breakfast,only quietly.
Locatie: Ideal location for visiting Edinburgh and the fife coastline including St Andrews.
We have stayed at this hotel before many years ago,it is now under new management but it is still a good hotel in a lovely location.The location of the hotel makes it ideal for a trip to Edinburgh using the train from the local station in 30 minutes.The hotel staff were very friendly from the receptionist to the waiters at night and in the morning.We had a meal at the hotel and it was very good and the breakfasts were excellent.All in all a very good place to take a break,I was visiting family and intend to return next year.
